The Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) is an association of broadcasters from the Commonwealth which was founded in 1945. The CBA supports public service media and holds a pan-Commonwealth conference every two years to bring together broadcasters from the Commonwealth and beyond. The conference in 2010 is run by the CBA on a not-for-profit basis in association with the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). 4. Interactive Radio for Justice - Congo (DRC)
This radio project is designed to encourage dialogue between people in regions where the International Criminal Court (ICC) is investigating crimes against humanity, war crimes, and genocide. The project seeks to improve the local population's general understanding of national and international judicial systems that can serve them. It also has the potential to improve authorities' understanding of issues important to the average citizen, and the problems people face attaining justice and rebuilding their lives post-conflict. The project started operations in the Ituri region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the ICC began an investigation in 2004. The 2008 Africa Media Sustainability Index (MSI) is the second such study of the region published by the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX).
